Supported Features

• IdP Initiated Auth Flow: Single Sign-On (SSO) using OpenID Connect (OIDC) initiated via Okta.
• SP Initiated SSO: Sign-in can be initiated from Scrut Automation via https://app.scrut.io/login

Requirements

• Administrative access to an Okta organization.

Configuration Steps

1. Sign in to Okta:

   • Open a new tab/window in your browser and sign in to your Okta account as an administrator.

2. Add Scrut Automation Application:

   • Navigate to "Applications" and click on the "Browse Application Catalog" button.
   • Search for "Scrut Automation" and click on it, then click on "Add Integration".
   • Choose a name for the application (default is "Scrut Automation").
   • In the base URL field, add the region you signed up with for “Scrut Automation”:
     • US: app.us.scrut.io
     • EU: app.eu.scrut.io
     • IN: app.scrut.io

3. Assign Users:

   • You will be redirected to the "Assignments" tab. Assign the users or groups that require access to Scrut Automation.

4. Retrieve Client ID and Secret:

   • Go to the "Sign On" tab and copy the Client ID and Client Secret.

5. Copy Okta Domain:

   • Click on your username in the top right corner of the Admin Console to find and copy the Okta domain.

6. Add Configuration Details in Scrut:

   • Login to Scrut Automation application, i.e https://app.scrut.io

   • Go to Settings -> Integrations.

   • Search for Okta Integration. S

   • Click Integrate.

   • Add Client Id, Secret and Domain and click on Connect.

Usage Instructions

After SSO Activation

• For SP Initiated Auth:
  • Visit Scrut Automation SSO, type your email id associated with Scrut Automation, and you will be redirected to Okta for authentication.
• For IdP Initiated Auth:
  • Users can click on the Scrut Automation icon on their Okta dashboard or Okta Browser Plugin to launch and log into Scrut Automation.
